Agrícola Famosa is situated in the semi-arid region of Northeast Brazil. The main farm is located in Icapuí (state of Ceará) and Mossoró (state of Rio Grande do Norte), 70% and 30% respectively.

Its privileged location allows the company to choose between three important production transport lines: just 300 KM away from Natal Port, in the state of Rio Grande do Norte; 220 KM from the Mucuripe Port in Fortaleza, Ceará; and 250 KM away from Pecém Port, the most modern industrial-estuary structure in the Northeast region, located in the state of Ceará, also the shortest distance between Brazil and the European Continent.

The main farm is settled in an area of 7 thousand hectares, of which 3 thousand hectares are exclusively used for the growing of different kinds of melons and watermelons.

 In addition to that Agrícola Famosa owns three other farms that together sum an area of over 12 thousands of hectares, situated in both states of Ceará and Rio Grande do Norte. Also the company counts with other 6,500 hectares of leased farms.

In Limoeiro do Norte (Ceará), where the Califórnia farm is located and where Agrícola Famosa is expanding the banana project from 60 to 130 hectares yet this year.
