DIPLOMATS AND MINISTRY OF AGRICULTURE VISIT AGRÍCOLA FAMOSA

On November 27th, 2010, Agrícola Famosa received on its main farm the visit of 75 Brazilian diplomats and 10 representatives from the Ministry Agriculture (MAPA).

  

The diplomats that will be representing Brazil in several countries worldwide came to the farm intending to learn and understand better a large scale agricultural production and its benefits to the region. For Ministry of Agriculture, Agrícola Famosa is a sustainable model of agricultural production.

  

Initially the visitors watched a introductory presentation of the company given by the co-founder and owner Luiz Roberto Barcelos and then they went on a tour to see all stages of the melon production process, from the seedling station, followed by a visit to the fields, ending on the packaging process.

  

Finally, lunch was served and then the visitors watched presentations from the Secretary of Economic Development of the State of Rio Grande do Norte, Segundo de Paula and the President odf the Development Agency of the State of Ceará (ADECE), Francisco Zuza de Oliveira.
